“We have used Ms Fixit now for two kitchen projects (new faucet and pantry cabinet). Both times they did a wonderful job. We were particularly impressed with how they handled a problem with the pantry install. The large cabinet came in a pristine box to our home but when the Ms. Fixit team opened the box they discovered a manufacturing defect. They immediately showed us the defect and gave us options: Install it and order a replacement side panel or order an entirely new cabinet. Either way, they said we would not be charged until the install was completed to our satisfaction. We elected to have the cabinet installed and have a replacement side panel ordered. True to their word, we were not charged for the cabinet. It took about three weeks for the new side panel to arrive and they promptly came back and finished the install to perfection. We are very happy with their services and would highly recommend them.”

“We are very pleased with the work. Your crew was pleasant to work with and worked VERY hard.”

“We just had a first rate experience with a power wash session for our patio and stairs. The two person crew was efficient and timely. They also did several stone fences and capping stones on the fences. They put all of the outdoor furniture back in place and left everything very neat. The pricing was reasonable given the type of work and the length of time they were at our home. I highly recommend this company. We have already retained them for another major job.”

“Ms Fixit did a great job. Reuben was here 3.5 hours hanging our holiday lights and it looks awesome! He was very polite and efficient.”

Leslie Strittmatter and Ms. Fixit's Terri Stagi named Washingtonians of the Year
by Anna Spiegel – Washingtonian Magazine
It started small. In 2006, friends Leslie Strittmatter and Terri Stagi invited their female colleagues in the male-dominated building industry to a clothing drive. By the end of the night, they had a sign-up sheet 50 names long for the next event. Women Giving Back, their Sterling-based nonprofit, was born.
Sometimes Even Multitaskers Need a Little Help
by Emily Cook – Posh Seven Magazine
Sometimes life can be a bit overwhelming. Especially in times of stress or uncertainty, which has pretty much been the theme of the year for 2020. Kids are being fully or partially homeschooled, adult children are returning to the nest while working remotely, and the expectation to meet everyone’s demands is weighing heavily on parents who have to assume the role of quasi-teacher, entertainer, chef, and often full-time employee to boot. While there have been some very positive aspects to this “new normal” in that we are spending more time together and enjoying family time, the added strain can mean that we are unable to tend to the things we need to because there are only so many hours in a day.
