Terri Stagi
Terri Stagi has been President for The Stagi Group, advertising since 1989. She developed the concept for Ms Fixit after listening to homeowners complain about the lack of dependable home maintenance, and her experience of contractors not showing up. By making the technicians employees, she resolved the issue of unknown and undependable people. Terri is, also, the founder of Women Giving Back, a non profit providing clothing to women and children in crisis.
Scott Akers

Scott is a co-founder of Heritage Contracting and served in many capacities since its inception in 1997. He is currently responsible for all aspects of field production, both production and custom. In his 30 years of local construction, Scott has developed a working knowledge of the needs of both the trade base and the builder clients. He now looks forward to sharing this expertise with homeowners.

Heritage provides home hardware, framing, locks, mirrors, shelving and more which will serve as the custom/large job projects with Ms. Fixit.

Leslie Strittmatter and Ms. Fixit's Terri Stagi named Washingtonians of the Year

It started small. In 2006, friends Leslie Strittmatter and Terri Stagi invited their female colleagues in the male-dominated building industry to a clothing drive. By the end of the night, they had a sign-up sheet 50 names long for the next event. Women Giving Back, their Sterling-based nonprofit, was born.
