“Reuben and Tim were very professional, showing up on time and working with our needs to make sure the job was done right. They were respectful (took off their shoes) and came up with new solutions (swapping the broken cylinder of our existing handle) which saved us money on buying a new handle.”

“We have used Ms Fixit for several projects at our house. They are always prompt and professional. We also like that they have reasonable prices. We asked them to reframe a large window for the future install of a smaller window and we asked that they install new siding. we are very happy with the results.”

I found the MsFixIt team who worked on my patio and front walkway to be professional, cordial, and flexible. A recent injury prevented me moving heavy objects, and the masons stepped right up, agreeably moving furniture and planters with care. The recent rains demonstrate that the sealer they used is of highly quality and uniformly applied. I have already recommended MsFixIt to two friends who have masonry issues!

The quality of work was excellent. The technicians arrived on time and effected the much need repairs to my exterior doors professionally and with great care and attention. Will utilize Ms. Fixit again.

We needed to realign a storm door and repair the framing around a basement door. Peter came over to the house, took pictures, discussed how he would repair the basement frame. Shortly after, Ms Fixit sent us an estimate and we decided to go ahead with the work. (I note that we contacted two other handyman services but they weren't as responsive as Ms Fixit.) Today (07/0723), Peter and a colleague came over and did an excellent job making the repairs. Very pleased with the responsiveness and quality of this company.

Leslie Strittmatter and Ms. Fixit's Terri Stagi named Washingtonians of the Year
by Anna Spiegel – Washingtonian Magazine
It started small. In 2006, friends Leslie Strittmatter and Terri Stagi invited their female colleagues in the male-dominated building industry to a clothing drive. By the end of the night, they had a sign-up sheet 50 names long for the next event. Women Giving Back, their Sterling-based nonprofit, was born.
Sometimes Even Multitaskers Need a Little Help
by Emily Cook – Posh Seven Magazine
Sometimes life can be a bit overwhelming. Especially in times of stress or uncertainty, which has pretty much been the theme of the year for 2020. Kids are being fully or partially homeschooled, adult children are returning to the nest while working remotely, and the expectation to meet everyone’s demands is weighing heavily on parents who have to assume the role of quasi-teacher, entertainer, chef, and often full-time employee to boot. While there have been some very positive aspects to this “new normal” in that we are spending more time together and enjoying family time, the added strain can mean that we are unable to tend to the things we need to because there are only so many hours in a day.
